January Debrief / by Ben and YT

  • Just finished the first couple of videos from Aslan's, aka Li0nsmane's Iceland Vlog series, and if you ever needed a reason to visit Iceland, here it is. Fully packaged with lovable nerdy photographers and awe-inducing vistas.
  • Daytripper is a dream-like, gorgeous reflection on humanity, relationships and mortality by Brazilian wonder twins Fabió Moon and Gabriel Bá. Have tissue on hand, as well as your Mum and Dad on speed-dial!
  • Can cinema teach us the true value of human communication? We probably mentioned this article before, but now that we've seen Arrival, it carries extra weight. We'll no doubt revisit it, once we've finally watched Paterson.
  • Book fanatic and charming Canadian (obviously) wonders why there aren't Cellphones in books .
  • We got our new Rain Design laptop stand to help with YT's sitting posture. Happy Birthday YT's back!
  • Recently (read: obsessively) played artists:
Kevin Morby has a bit of Bob Dylan, bit of Alexi Murdoch, bit of male Feist. Altogether, euphoric.
Flock of Dimes is Wye Oak singer and multi-instrumentalist, Jenn Wasner's solo album and IT IS GOOD.
NAO has so much 90s and 00s RnB, soul influence with a healthy addition of London dubstep-like electronics. A must for parties.

And of course, our latest addition to our monthly playlists. I honestly struggled to not let some newly discovered rap and hip-hop tracks take over. Managed to keep it to only two. Enjoy!
